Keep Your Jewellery Safe with Safe Deposit Box Insurance

If you keep your jewellery or gold in a safe deposit box, make sure you’ve got the right insurance in place to protect it.  It won’t be covered under your standard home insurance.

The premiums for bank safe deposit box insurance tend to be fairly low, for example, for a collection of jewellery around £100,000 we are seeing premiums as low as £200.

(The minimum premium for jewellery insurance only in a bank safe is £150 including insurance premium tax at 6%).

Features of our safe deposit box insurance include:

• Cover for physical loss or damage
• No policy excess
• There is no need to specify individual items unless they are valued more than £25,000.
• Newly acquired items will be covered up to 25% of the sum insured (for 60 days from purchase date of jewellery)
• Option to have items cover on a agree value basis or fair market value basis*
• Theft cover (must be signs of forcible and violent entry)
